Thanks to a deep know-how in the field of climate change,
many GHG mitigation projects were realised for a great number of private
companies for research purposes.
Other important activities were the implementation of Voluntary GHG emission reduction activities/standards according to ISO 14064, VCS and Gold Standard both for public bodies (CARTESIO, network of Italian Regions) and for private structures (Golder Associates Srl, Eco-Way Srl) and Certification Bodies (RINA SpA, UNFCCC accredited DOE) as well as KHC (Know How Certification) accredited educational activities concerning UNFCCC matters (company seminars and higher education).
Moreover, a feasibility study for the application of Carbon Capture and Storage technologies to the refining sector is being performed for one of the most important Italian power company (ERG POWER & GAS SpA).
The affiliated centre CE.Si.S.P. is also the manager of the VER (Verified Emission Reduction) Registry eCO2care (eCO2 Carbon Account Registry) (www.eco2care.org).
