RESULTS: polarisation measurements
As the duration of heat treatment increases, the current values determined at 0.2V/SCE, i0.2 V/SCE, typically located in the second activation anodic peak, increase and the resistance to the intergranular corrosion decreases: for the conventional 304 SS there is a steep increase, while the values for the tt sample increase gently.
The trends obtained in the i0.2 V/SCE/thermal treatment duration diagrams are consistent with those obtained with the DL-EPR tests.
