THERMAL ANALYSIS (2)
TgH (?)
- the linear dependence on the IPDI content, less evident and reproducible than in the HDI series, leads to the hypothesis of another mixed phase
TgF (?)
- is linearly dependent on the weight fraction of IPDI: a possible explanation could be the formation of a mixed phase, or a larger sensitivity to the network constraints
TgH (?)
- is linearly dependent on the weight fraction of HDI
- increases as the MW of the PFPE decreases, due to the higher cross-link density
- MC products, with higher crosslinking density, have than higher TgH than the BC ones
TgF (?)
- when detectable, is rather constant (–60°C): this suggests the separation of a pure fluorinated phase in any case
Difficult determination of Tg values by DSC, especially for MC coatings
