EIS RESULTS with top coat A
Sample AC1+A showed good protective properties as demonstrated by the EIS measurement trends and by the surface aspect after prolonged exposure to the aggressive solution. Its properties, however, were slightly inferior to those of sample AC3+A, which revealed, after an initial lowering, an increse of the Rp values overtime (Table 1). Also in this case the surface did not change after the exposure. System AC2+A did not show resistance to corrosion. After 24 h of exposure the impedance lowered and the resistance values decreased. It reveals the presence of corrosion processes, as it is showed by blisters on the surface.
